Forward March! Activities and Engagement Ideas for March

Written by Peachjar | February 24, 2022

March is known as a windy month with the ushering in of spring so don’t let these chances to engage with your community blow away! Spring is known for new beginnings as well as new life and growth. Equally, it is a great time to do a spring cleaning of your communication strategy. We’ve gathered a few activities you might be interested in sharing with your community.

As March celebrates both Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, don’t miss the opportunity to let your students share about women who inspire them—use this as a chance to highlight or host an event with women of influence in your community. Throughout the month, engage with families on social media and by sending home digital flyers about reading, writing, and creative expression—maybe host a contest—as well as share messaging about our planet to celebrate the first day of spring and highlight the need for fresh water around the world. Don’t forget to send out a friendly reminder to change the batteries in smoke alarms March 12th for Daylight Saving!

Encourage families in your district to share in these activities with you and highlight them when you can! Sharing fun information is a great way to inspire others to share, too, and expand your district’s community.
