“[School] employees can be overwhelmed with the amount of things they have to do and we have the ability to take some work off of their plate and still allow the work to get done in a better fashion.”

In January, Peachjar celebrated 10 years in the business. To mark the occasion, we sat down with some of our team to check in on how things are going and reminisce memories. Check out the video below to see what Mike Durham, Jackie Stone, Chris Beal, Tabassum Bhaghani, and Rick Jolicoeur had to chat about.

What started as an idea and a shed in a backyard in Southern California has grown to become a nationwide tool dedicated to helping families gain access to opportunities and resources. We are proud to partner with 900 school districts, 17,500 schools, and 35,000 community organizations to reach 12 million parents across the country.

The future is always in the hands of the next generation. The best thing we can do is make sure that students have the resources to be their best selves. We’ve done this over the last decade by partnering with school districts and community organizations to distribute this information directly to families. Not only do local programs reach families directly in their community, but when specific opportunities are scarce, national programs are able to supplement, reaching families that might not otherwise have access. Chris Beal mentions one example of a national nonprofit that connects parents of students with learning disabilities to other parents and resources using Peachjar to inform parents about their programs. We’re incredibly proud to help organizations like this connect families in need of support.

More than just programming for students, we’ve also seen financial organizations (like those that host 529 plans) and governmental organizations (like the US Census) use Peachjar to reach families and provide a wealth of information. Ensuring that programs and information reach families, we can collectively ensure the opportunity for the whole family to thrive and be engaged.

We’ve come so far in the last 10 years and we’re so excited for what’s to come. Stay tuned!
